I met quite a few makeup artists who continue to inspire me and who I hope to collaborate with. My list of clientele expanded and I had the honor of working on such faces as Kathleen Turner, Billy Jean King, and John McEnroe. This year in 2012 I seek to express my artistry more in my work and to challenge myself with more special effects projects. I also wish to work towards Local 798 Union Membership and build my hours on film/commercial sets. As these resolutions go we must remember, ONE DAY AT A TIME! If anyone seeks collaboration with me please e-mail me so we can make some art or create characters... Oh and I got a new toy for my kit! An Iwata Power Jet Pro airbrush compressor for full body makeup. Now I can airbrush your tan, or do full monster makeups, or do weird body art. Yes, 2012 shall be an artsy one for sure :)

Shoot with Sarah Kanter

Friday I had a little fun with makeup working with actress Sarah Kanter. It seems that my background in Special Effects was challenged this summer by the large amount of shorts being made with some really gross/provocative scripts. It was chock full of zombies, guts, worms, demon succubi, and Kim Jong Il. It was tons of fun and I've never had to purchase so much fake blood in my life!

Photoshoot w/ Emmy & Photog Oreste Schiavone

On a test shoot with model EmmyNYC and Photographer Oreste Schiavone. Being a lover of period pieces I have been having a lot of fun with the hairstyles and special effects to bring this era to life. Here is a photo from behind the scenes... Another moment I'm doing makeup on Maxim Magazine Home Town Hotties Winner and another I'm creating prosthetic heads for a horror movie. I participated in Fashion Week by working on designer Chesley McLaren's show for her collection Demoiselle. Her designs are gorgeous and I recommend you check them out at her site http://www.chesleymclaren.com/. I will post some pictures from the show soon. Also by luck I happened to work on the Wu Tang Clan's music video "Our Dreams," a song off their upcoming album. It was an honor to work with such prodigies in the hip hop industry and with up and coming music video director Ric Cordero. Through this video I was also asked to work on a G-Unit video the following day so I've been keeping busy doing lots of glamorous, flashy makeup. It's been fun and a much needed change from the subtlety of film makeup.
